Service Description
National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is the UK industry standard lifeguarding qualification.. The course is a minimum of 36 hours (usually a little more if it includes additional qualifications such as PXB (spine board) Anaphylaxis management and AED certifications), followed by a practical assessment on swimming pool theory, water safety and how to spot potential hazards. The course will teach you the practical skills of lifeguarding, such as water rescue, casualty recovery, CPR and first aid. This course will be running at Hamble Sports Complex, Satchell Lane, Southampton, SO31 4NE. Course times: Monday 28th July - Friday 1st August 815am - 530pm. Assessment Saturday 2nd August 2025. Course prerequisites: Be 16 on date of assessment Jump/dive into deep water Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water Tread water for 30 seconds Surface dive to the floor of the pool (1.8m) Climb out unaided without ladder/steps and where the pool design permits

Cancellation Policy
In order for us to run courses at a reasonable cost and to ensure cancellations are kept to a minimum please see our cancellation policy below: 7 days before the start of the course - Full cost of the course 8+ days before the start of the course - 50% of the course cost In the unlikely event that we Wild Dog Fitness need to cancel a course (due to low number of learners/ trainer sickness) we aim to give you as much notice as possible and offer you an alternative. If a refund is required we aim to process this within 7 days.
