My mum and I started our PT sessions with Shelley in September 2019. She was patient and positive from the very first session and encourages us through everything. Shelley has taken a keen interest in our journey and celebrates every stage with us, giving us constant reminders of how far we have come.

 

Shelley has helped me up my classes and has given me recomendations for others as I have gone along. I have gone from doing very little exercise to some form of exercise every day! Shelley has helped me gain in confidence, lose weight and drop dress sizes.

 

I am truly thankful for everything Shelley is doing! She is amazing!

I was the typical couch potato, hated the thought of exercise, then I started PT sessions with Shelley.

 

At our first session she was made aware of what I was like, she took all that on board and has turned my life around.

 

She has coaxed, encouraged and supported me throughout my journey so far and believe me that hasn't always been easy for her.

 

My confidence has increased massively and on her recommendations I have joined new classes and now go to the gym 6 times a week.

 

I couldn't have done any of this without Shelley's motivation and drive and she is my saviour and a true inspiration.

In November last year, I decided that enough was enough and it was time to take responsibility for my body. I have hyper mobility and as a result, suffer with back and knee problems. I know, from years of Pilates, that having a strong core really helps ease the condition, but 1 Pilates session a week wasn’t cutting it.

​

I put out a plea out on facebook for recommendations of a good PT who would train me at home (I’m very self conscious in a gym) and 1 name kept coming up- Shelley Mott /Wild dog fitness.

​

Contacting Shelley was one of the best things I have ever done for myself. I was just reading through our first messages after we met for the initial consultation, “I think training will be a lot of sweary fun” I had written. How right my prediction was.

​

I am, by nature, a lazy person when it comes to exercise. If someone gives me exercises to do when not in a session, they will never be done. With Shelley, I felt that I could be honest and tell her this. I also enjoy drinking alcohol and going out for meals. When I have told trainers this in the past, they have rolled their eyes and said “well you won’t see any progress unless you cut out this, this and that”. I would cut out “this, this and that” for a couple of weeks…then get fed up, binge on them and then feel so guilty I would give up training as I felt I had let my trainer down.

Shelley takes a different approach. Yes, she can give you fantastic nutritional guidance, and some lovely recipes, but her focus is more on creating a plan that fits into your life…no guilt!

​

I have found a new love for exercise with Shelley’s training…and a passion for pad work. I genuinely look forward to our sessions. Even through a break for illness, and then the change to virtual training due to Covid, Shelley has kept me motivated and laughing…a lot!!!

She understands my hypermobility and therefore adapts training to work with this rather than against. No, I don’t have a 6 pack (mainly due to the booze) but I do have more strength in my core than ever before…and I have actually discovered how to engage my glutes for the first time ever!! Training has caused no aggravation to my knees or back, in fact, touch wood, I have not had any problems with them since starting training.

​

I now completely understand why Shelley and Wild Dog Fitness had so many recommendations. If you are looking for someone who will help you reach your goals with no guilt, no BS but with a lot of motivation and laughs, she is your lady. I now not only have an awesome trainer, but someone who I consider a very good friend too…oh and yes…I do still swear A LOT in training!

So today I had my first PT fitness session with Shelley and loved it!

 

Shelley is so patient and keeps you motivated throughout the session even when I wanted to give up in a heap on the floor!!

 

Can't recommend highly enough.

KETTLEBELLS CLASS

After what I found out was 5 years since I have done a kettlebells class I joined in with Wayne's class tonight...and I absolutely loved it!!

​

Think I might be a bit sore tomorrow...but no pain no gain right...

Shelley and I are both Pilates instructors.

 

She recently came to our studio so we could do a mini refresher course.

 

She was so calm and encouraging and even though I teach Pilates myself I learned a lot from her methods. highly recommend her as a trainer!
